Welcome to NPAO Online

Looking for an NP?  - The NP Registry is available to help connect you with an NP in your area. Click here to launch the registry or click "Find an N.P. in Ontario" in the left hand menu. Please note, this is a voluntary registry and not all NPs are registered. This project was supported by a Primary Health Care Transition Fund grant from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

Want to Learn More About NPs? - An 11 minute video is now available, click on the "NP Role Video" on left side of the website.  The video describes the role from the patient, nursing leadership and NP perspective.

Accessing the Members' Only Site - There are many resources available to members on the members' only section of the website (e.g., clinical education opportunities, message board, etc.).  The "members' only" menu appears only after logging in on the right.  If you are a current member of NPAO, you must register on-line in order to receive a unique username and password. Register Here. It may take a day or two to confirm new memberships.

Not Currently a Member - If you are not currently a member, but want to learn more or want to join, please go to the membership page or contact info@npao.org for more information.

NPAO News

Congratulations and thanks to the hundreds of Nurse Practitioners and Advanced Practice Nurses across Ontario for the many contributions you make to improving the health of Ontarians each and every day.  In every sector of our health care system, NPs and APNs are having an impact by providing high quality, safe and effective health care.  Thank you for your leadership and innovation in improving access to care for pateitns and enhancing and improving patient outcomes.  Congratulations to the APNs who are writing exams to register in the new NP-Adult and NP-Paediatric specialties.  Congratulations also to the RNs who are currently enrolled in NP education programs as you embark on this new career path.  On behalf of the Board of NPAO, take the time to celebrate your accomplishments and have a very happy nursing week!
