
Jenny Lane
MSc, BScN, NP-PHC, CHE
As a Nurse Practitioner and Executive Director of a Community Family Health Team, Jenny Lane supports patients through comprehensive, patient-centred primary care focused on prevention, chronic disease management, health promotion, and shared decision-making. In her leadership role, she contributes to the broader health system by strengthening access to care, empowering interdisciplinary teams, advancing quality improvement, and fostering collaboration to improve outcomes and experiences for patients, families, providers, and communities.
Jenny brings over 30 years of healthcare experience, beginning her career as a Health Care Aide and advancing through nursing practice, graduate education, and executive leadership. Her career journey has provided her with a broad perspective on care delivery, from frontline practice to system-level leadership, grounded in continuous learning, professional growth, and service.
A graduate of Queen’s University, with postgraduate studies at Dalhousie University in healthcare law and risk management, Jenny has developed expertise in safe, ethical, and high-quality care. She has served as a clinical educator and mentor, contributed to provincial healthcare initiatives, and held governance roles with provincial and local health boards. Jenny currently serves on the College of Nurses of Ontario Council, as well as the Discipline and Fitness to Practise Committees, contributing to nursing governance, professional accountability, and public protection.
Jenny considers her career in healthcare a privilege and is she is passionate about advancing care through collaboration, innovation, and mentorship. She is committed to developing future healthcare leaders, strengthening the nursing profession, and helping build a more compassionate, accessible, and sustainable healthcare system.
