Job Description
The Almaguin Highlands Family Health Team is expanding our team & recruiting 2 Nurse Practitioners. Our team of NPs will work to full scope providing high quality patient-centered care and contributing in a meaningful way to the wellbeing of the community. We provide primary care services, chronic disease management, and health promotion & disease prevention programs and services, within an interdisciplinary model of care and are seeking NPs to provide comprehensive primary health care to patients. Compensation: $122,178.00 per year
Job Requirements
The minimum requirements for this position are:
• Nurse Practitioner Certification
• Registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses in Ontario;
• Member of the Nurse Practitioner’s Association of Ontario;
• Current Basic First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Demonstrated effective management, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team with a variety of health service providers;
- Good judgment, time management, attention to detail and priority setting abilities;
- Flexible within an active work environment, and is able to work autonomously;
- Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software programs
including (Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems (experience with Practice Solutions and/or
Accuro would be an asset) as well as Windows operating systems;
- Previous experience in primary care is an asset.
