Job Description

The S&Y Clinic St. Lawrence is currently seeking a dedicated Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a full-time contract basis as locum coverage for a Family Doctor. Our clinic is located at 400 Adelaide Street East in downtown Toronto. We are committed to providing high-quality primary health care services and are looking for a compassionate professional to help us continue this mission.

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Note: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday can be virtual
Patient Appointments: 15-minute intervals
Compensation: $90 to $100 per hour
On-Site Requirement: Minimum of four days per week in person at the clinic
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Avaros/Oscar

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independent, unsupervised practice.
  • Provide comprehensive primary health care services, including physical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
  • Engage in health promotion, education, and counseling to support patient wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current and valid registration as Nurse practitioner.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a primary care setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Avaros/Oscar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
