Lisa provides Indigenous primary health care at Chigamik Community Health Centre in Midland. As a Métis woman of Ojibway and Cree ancestry, she integrates culturally grounded, relationship-based care into her family practice. Her work reflects a commitment to reconciliation, health equity, and community-informed service delivery.
Beyond direct patient care, Lisa is the Co-Lead of the Primary Care Leadership Council for the North Simcoe Ontario Health Team. In this role, she focuses on improving access and patient attachment to primary care while strengthening provider sustainability and mitigating burnout.
In 2024 Lisa stepped into the role of Associate Medical Director for the Community Paramedicine Program in Simcoe County with enthusiasm and purpose. She is deeply engaged in advancing integrated home-based care, supporting community paramedics in delivering comprehensive, patient-centred services in collaboration with health and social supports. Known for answering consult calls with, “How can I help?” she is regarded as a responsive, knowledgeable, and steadfast clinical resource.
