As an NP in long-term care, Lynn provides medical care, supports advanced care planning, and collaborates with the inter-professional team to enhance residents’ quality of life. Her role helps reduce hospital transfers and ensures that residents receive timely and person-centered care within their home.
Lynn has been an NP for over 20 years. She began in a tertiary teaching hospital and was among the first to earn a diploma in NP Anesthesia Care. Her focus on older adults led to a PhD in Aging and Health and a subsequent postdoc in Geriatric Psychiatry. She now works in long-term care and teaches at George Brown College.
