Marijana Zubrinic is a Nurse Practitioner in Thoracic Surgery at Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, where she cares for complex surgical and lung transplant patients. Recognizing an unmet need at the bedside, she co-invented the HALO Telemonitoring, a nurse-led innovation that has grown into a commercialized virtual monitoring solution protecting patients in hospitals and long-term care facilities across Canada. A passionate advocate for nurse-led innovation, Marijana is dedicated to empowering NPs to turn bedside ideas into scaled solutions that improve patient outcomes and strengthen the healthcare system.

Marijana graduated from both the Master’s and NP programs at McMaster University and completed her Executive MBA at Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. In addition to her clinical practice at UHN, she serves as the Chief Nursing Executive & COO of Halo Telemonitoring, where she leads the company’s growth and combines frontline clinical expertise with business leadership.
