Natasha Parmar
PHCNP, M.Sc.N, B.Sc.N

Natasha Parmar supports patients on two fronts: in the emergency department, where she delivers fast, high-stakes care to the Greater Toronto Area, and in her specialized practice, where she helps patients navigating ADHD and mental health finally get answers. But she’s also tackling a bigger gap in the system: patients don’t always know NPs can be their provider, or how to find one who specializes in what they actually need.

That’s why she founded Nearest Provider, Canada’s first patient-facing Nurse Practitioner directory, connecting patients to the right NP for their care, and giving NPs across the country the visibility to be found for the specialized work they do. Her work, on every front, reflects what NPs bring to the system: accessible, specialized, patient-centred care that reduces pressure on an overburdened system.

Natasha Parmar is an Emergency Nurse Practitioner in the Greater Toronto Area while also working in private practice supporting those with ADHD and mental health care.

Alongside her clinical work, Natasha is the founder of Nearest Provider, Canada’s first patient-facing Nurse Practitioner directory. She built the platform after seeing firsthand how hard it is for patients to find NPs, especially those with specialized expertise, and how much visibility NPs lose without a centralized place to be found. Nearest Provider gives patients a transparent way to search for NPs by specialty, from ADHD and mental health to menopause, weight management, GI, and hormones, and gives NPs a shared platform to be recognized for their care instead of competing alone for visibility. The platform is currently recruiting its founding cohort of NPs across Canada.
