Sharon will be retiring from RVRHC (Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre) after over 40 years of practice.
After being a nurse for over 40 years and navigating through many changes and challenges throughout her career, Sharon has remained deeply passionate about nursing philosophy and patient care. It is incredibly refreshing and inspiring to just be around her. Our group of NP’s is very blessed to have this woman in our corner: she strongly believes in us and what we can do for our patients.
Sharon has been an immense support for the Nurse Practitioners of RVRHC. She has been a true champion for Nurse Practitioners. She was the lead to have our bylaws changed to support full integration of the NP role for inpatients. We have met with all the departments, Diagnostic Imaging, Lab, Health Records, IT, EMR, to support our role. The NP may now be MRP for an inpatient at our hospital. Sharon has been our voice with the physicians on MAC. The senior leadership team has changed a policy to allow the NP to be included with all the policies that pertain to our practice again due to Sharon’s influence.
