Substance Use Disorders: Skills, Not Stigma

Alcohol Use Disorder and Opioid Use Disorders from a NP perspective – approach, diagnosis and medication treatment options. By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Differentiate between substance use and substance use disorders using clinical criteria
Apply evidence-informed approaches to the screening, diagnosis, and management of alcohol use disorder
Identify appropriate treatment strategies for opioid use disorder, including considerations for both street-sourced (e.g., fentanyl) and prescription opioids
