NPAO was privileged to present alongside our prima NPAO was privileged to present alongside our primary care partners @afhtoprimarycare and @ocfp_ont at the @amppolicy conference, supporting collaborative conversations with municipalities about primary care expansion and its impact on communities across Ontario.
With a shared focus on increasing attachment and access to care, many important solutions were brought forward—including the need to fully include and integrate Nurse Practitioners working to their full scope as part of Ontario’s primary care transformation.
Strengthening primary care will take all of us. NPAO looks forward to continued collaboration with municipalities, government, primary care partners, and health system leaders to build sustainable, community-responsive solutions and strengthen care for Ontarians.

Thank you to MPP @anthonyleonardi , Parliamentary Thank you to MPP @anthonyleonardi , Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health, for a productive conversation this morning at the @amopolicy Conference in Ottawa about increasing access and attachment for Ontarians through Nurse Practitioner care.
NPAO continues to support knowledge translation, collaboration and advocacy to help ensure advancements in primary care put patients at the centre, while also creating the conditions for Nurse Practitioners to deliver high-quality, sustainable care to the fullest extent of their expertise.
We are also grateful to @twp_mapleton @mapleton_mayor_gregg @townofminto Mayor Dave Turton, and @mattrae for their continued support and leadership in advancing models of care that improve access and deliver high-quality health care for the communities they represent.
Strong partnerships between government, municipalities, health system leaders and Nurse Practitioners are essential as we work toward a more accessible and sustainable health system for all Ontarians.
