Kevin Zizzo is a Nurse Practitioner leader committed to advancing NP advocacy and expanding access to high-quality pediatric care across Ontario. With experience spanning both community and tertiary care settings, including service to Indigenous communities, he brings a systems-level perspective to advancing equitable and accessible care for children and families.

He completed his BScN at Toronto Metropolitan University and George Brown College, followed by a Master of Nursing and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification at the University of Toronto, graduating at the top of his class. His academic achievements earned him the Dean’s Medal, recognition from the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the Zophia Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Award.

He further specialized as one of only seven individuals in Canada to complete the Graduate Diploma for Nurse Practitioners in Anesthesia Care (GDipNPAC) at the University of Toronto. Kevin has extensive clinical pediatric experience across primary care, emergency medicine, cardiology, anesthesia, and gastroenterology. He has led the development of multiple independent and multidisciplinary pediatric clinics, including a mobile COVID-19 testing service during the pandemic, reflecting his commitment to innovative NP-led models of care.

Kevin has held academic appointments as an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University, Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto, and Adjunct Lecturer at Queen’s University. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Ontario since 2018, contributing to provincial advocacy efforts, and was awarded the 2024 Award of Excellence for Ontario by the Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Canada.

He has also completed the Osgoode Certificate in Health Law through Osgoode Hall Law School and the Fundamental Board Governance Program through the Schulich School of Business, further strengthening his leadership in health systems, policy, and governance.
