NPAO 2021 Annual Report

Through the many challenges of the past year the incredible work of Nurse Practitioners has been an inspiration. As every aspect of our lives changed again and again, NPs across Ontario rose to meet challenges. We remained consistent in our dedication to deliver exceptional client care while concurrently developing new teams and processes, incorporating ever-changing guidelines, leading innovations, and successfully navigating new situations with profound impacts on our colleagues, our families and our communities. NPs demonstrated incredible strength, resilience and leadership in our hospitals, LTC facilitates, community clinics, independent practice, mental health and addiction centres, in post-secondary institutions, correctional facilities, COVID assessment and vaccine centres, at the patient home, at our regional and provincial decision tables. In every setting, NPs have focused on the work that needs to be done to improve the lives of others.
