Topic #3: Regional Reports – From Members/LHINs|

  1. Diane Gwartz: In her last mailchimp asked members about pharmaceutical sponsored continuing education events. She had a good response of 18 replies, with 15 within the first 24 hours.
  2. Diane Gwantz: received response from Health Force Ontario- spoke to previous local rep, would like more specific information of primary care NPs in her region. Suggested accessing stats through CNO.  Claudia also suggested asking Marcela if NPAO has more specific statistics
  3. Susan Fairservice: Had Booster Day in Thunder Bay, was very successful. Dawn and Marnie from NPAO main office were able to attend. Also questions about BMDs and ultrasounds,  Thunder Bay hospital requiring NPs to be accredited to order tests though MAC
  4. Lindsay Myles- Feedback from local member that NP asked to prove their worth to board for salary increase, wanting to know if other people have seen similar complaints. Marnie had attended AFHTO board meeting last week to discuss NP issues
