* Mode of acquisition is identified following the public health investigation and may not be available at the time the case is reported. Reported numbers should not be interpreted as mode of acquisition for the previous day’s case count.

** Effective reproduction number (Rt) is updated twice weekly and not daily. Rt is not calculated for PHU Regions with case counts <12 over the reporting period.

SIISP = Integrated Public Health Information System; OPH = Public Health Ontario; COR = COVID-19 Provincial Diagnostic Network Operations Center; SOSMPC = Ontario Critical Care Services; RqL = Daily inventory of beds

* The acquisition method is determined following a public health survey and may not be available when the case is declared. The figures declared should not be interpreted as those corresponding to the method of acquiring the number of cases from the previous day.

** The effective reproduction rate (Re) is updated twice a week and not daily. Re is not calculated for the regions served by BSPs recording <12 cases during the period covered by the report.

Data are provided in English format / The format of the figures is the Anglo-Saxon format.

Update:

  • The Ontario government is allowing more businesses and services to open and getting more people back to work by moving the City of Toronto and Peel Region into Stage 2 on Wednesday. This decision was made in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and the local medical officers of health. It is based on positive local trends of key public health indicators, including lower transmission of COVID-19, ongoing hospital capacity, public health capacity to do rapid case and contact management, and a significant increase in testing.
