iPHIS = integrated Public Health Information System; PHO = Public Health Ontario; NOC = COVID19 Provincial Diagnostic Network Operations Center; CCSO = Critical Care Services Ontario; dBCS = Daily Bed Census; CRCI = COVID-Related Critical Illness (COVID-Related Critical Illness (CRCI) is defined as: Admission to the ICU because of a clinical syndrome consistent with COVID, AND the patient has had a positive test that is consistent with acute COVID illness. COVID + is a sub-set of CRCI patients whose last COVID test was positive.) MLTC = Ministry of Long-Term Care; RHRA = Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority; SOLGEN = Ministry of the Solicitor General.

* Mode of acquisition is identified following the public health investigation and may not be available at the time the case is reported. Reported numbers should not be interpreted as mode of acquisition for the previous day’s case count. The mode of acquisition is updated twice per week.

** Effective reproduction number (Rt) is updated twice weekly and not daily. Rt is not calculated for PHU Regions with case counts <12 over the reporting period.

*** More than 30 hospitals did not report information for June 30th, therefore this is likely an underestimate and will increase in tomorrow’s counts.

SIISP = Integrated Public Health Information System; OPH = Public Health Ontario; COR = COVID-19 Provincial Diagnostic Network Operations Center; SOSMPC = Ontario Critical Care Services; RqL = Daily census of beds; MGLC = serious illness linked to COVID-19 (a serious illness linked to COVID-19 means a disease leading to admission to intensive care because of a clinical syndrome corresponding to COVID-19, AND the screening result is consistent with an active COVID-19 COVID + is a secondary series of patients whose last screening for COVID was positive.) MSLD = Ministry of Long-Term Care; ORMR = Regulatory Office for Retirement Homes; MSG = Ministry of the Solicitor General.

* The acquisition method is determined following a public health survey and may not be available when the case is declared. The figures declared should not be interpreted as those corresponding to the method of acquiring the number of cases from the previous day.

** The effective reproduction rate (Re) is updated twice a week and not daily. Re is not calculated for the regions served by BSPs recording <12 cases during the period covered by the report.

*** More than 30 hospitals did not provide their information for the day of June 30. Therefore, these numbers are likely to be an underestimate and will increase in tomorrow’s count.

Update:

  • The Ontario government announced it is providing municipalities and urban Indigenous community partners with an additional $ 150 million to continue to protect vulnerable people from COVID-19 by improving homeless shelters and creating opportunities for longer-term housing. This investment more than doubles the funding currently flowing to local municipal service managers and urban Indigenous program administrators through the Social Services Relief Fund.
  • The guidance document for Management of Cases and Contacts of COVID-19 in Ontario that was previously released has now been uploaded to the ministry’s website and is available here .
