- 514 new cases were reported today in Ontario, bringing the cumulative total to 8,961 (this includes 4,194 resolved cases and 423 deaths).
- In Ontario, a total of 128,093 people have been tested, with tests performed at Public Health Ontario Laboratories and non-Public Health Laboratories. There are currently 4,323 tests under investigation.
- 807 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19; 248 are in ICU; and 200 are in ICU on a ventilator.
Actions Taken:
- The Government of Ontario announced significant expansions to hospital capacity in preparation for any COVID-19 outbreak scenario.
- The ministry has updated the Quick Reference Public Health Guidance on Testing and Clearance. It is attached (English only) and will be available on the ministry’s website shortly in French and English.

- En Ontario, un total de 128 093 personnes a subi un dépistage dans les laboratoires de Santé publique Ontario et d’autres laboratoires non liés à Santé publique Ontario. Il y a actuellement 4 323 analyses en cours.
- 807 patients atteints de la COVID-19 sont actuellement hospitalisés; 248 sont aux soins intensifs et 200 sont branchés à un respirateur aux soins intensifs.
Mesures prises
- Le gouvernement de l’Ontario a annoncé qu’il augmente considérablement la capacité des hôpitaux en prévision de tout scénario d’évolution de la pandémie de COVID-19.
- Le Ministère a mis à jour l’aide-mémoire des conseils de la Santé publique concernant les tests et les congés. Il se trouve en annexe (anglais seulement) et sera affiché prochainement sur le site Web du Ministère en français et en anglais.
